ConectUS and CPNzone – Rootmetrics Results

Verizon Wins the 5G Prize with Inclusion of Rural Coverage. Hey everyone! Please pay special attention to the latest 5G tests conducted by RootMetrics, covering an incredible 245,000 miles and 6,653 indoor locations across the US. These tests differ significantly from the nearly 2.3 million tests performed in 125 of the most populated metropolitan markets in the second half of last year, due to the inclusion of rural areas. This change has impacted the results and the overall 5G award winners. Verizon has emerged with two gold medals, T-Mobile with one, and AT&T with none. RootMetrics analysts now view Verizon as the new US 5G champion. This shift adds to T-Mobile’s challenges, as they now need to reclaim their “best 5G experience” title from Verizon. Under the old methodology, the playing field was unfairly tilted towards T-Mobile. Plus, do you remember that Verizon voluntarily agreed to delay 5G rollouts to allow airlines to retrofit their older aircraft altimeters? However, Verizon now leads in 5G speed, while T-Mobile retains the 5G availability title. Verizon is the new US 5G champion, T-Mobile is second, and AT&T is last. Verizon also won its seventh straight “Most Reliable 5G” award from RootMetrics. This award highlights Verizon’s consistent performance across the board, reaffirming its leadership in 5G reliability. The 5G reliability prize remains with Verizon, highlighting AT&T’s struggle to compete in all 5G aspects, both urban and rural. Verizon’s 5G speed victory isn’t due to recent technological advancements or expansions. Similarly, T-Mobile’s loss isn’t due to any specific missteps. The ConectUS Panel Session at Channel Partners On Tuesday, March 12 at the Channel Partners Conference in Las Vegas, Neil had the pleasure of introducing a panel of four incredible industry experts: Michael Lane of Samsung; Jude Fils-Aimé, Enterprise Security Solutions at Verizon; cyber security expert Jason C. Smith of OpenText; and Greg Tiedeman, EVP at ConectUS. In a thrilling and interactive session, the audience actively engaged with the panel, ultimately running out of time. However, a special guest appearance by David Starr rounded off the session to cheers and applause as David selected our competition winner Michael O’Hara from the audience.

Elite NFL Team Makes Verizon their Official 5G Network

Earlier this year, it was announced that Verizon Wireless is now the official 5G network of the Detroit Lions. The Lions are one of the young and up-and-coming teams in the NFL, and we are extremely excited to see how both parties grow through this partnership. Through this partnership, Verizon becomes the exclusive wireless telecommunications provider of Ford Field, and the benefits that each side of this deal gets are phenomenal. Verizon will become the official sponsor of the annual halftime show of the Lions’ Thanksgiving game as part of this deal, and this halftime show has been headlined by artists such as Jack Harlow, Bebe Rexha, and Big Sean over the last couple of years. Verizon will also expand on its wireless infrastructure throughout the stadium, including 5G Edge Cashierless Checkout technology, deployments of 5G Ultra Wideband, and Private Wireless Network coach-to-coach communication. Verizon has made countless innovative solutions around Ford Field due to all of the data usage during games. Some of these solutions include Verizon’s Distributed Antenna System, a 5G mmWave system deployment, and a wireless network of antennas distributed throughout the property that allow for better performance and coverage. Verizon will always look for ways to improve the fan experience at Ford Field, and we look forward to seeing the technological advancements they continue to add. “We are excited to continue and grow our partnership with Verizon at Ford Field,” said Detroit Lions Chief Operating Officer Mike Disner. “Our partnership with Verizon has enabled us to elevate the Ford Field experience for fans, media and our staff through greater connectivity and network strength.
